CAI TENNESSEE LEGISLATIVE INFORMATION
Tennessee Advocacy Day at the Capitol
On Tuesday, January 27th, CAI’s Tennessee Legislative Action Committee (TN LAC) – a group of community association advocates and leaders from across the Volunteer State – will convene in Nashville to meet in-person with legislators about important legislative issues impacting the community association housing model. CAI Tennessee is hosting its Tennessee Advocacy Day at the Capitol and strong participation is critical. TN LAC represents approximately 757,000 Tennesseans living in 310,000 homes in more than 5,500 community associations. Legislators in Nashville need to hear from you about the issues impacting those living and working in community associations across the state.
When: January 27, 2026 (8am – 2:30pm) Where: Tennessee State Capitol Building (meet at the Legislative Lounge State Capitol, 600 Dr. MLK Jr. Blvd., Nashville, TN 37243) Cost: FREE to attend! Box lunch will be provided. Transportation: Transportation by bus will be provided from Ghertner & Co., 50 Vantage Way #100, Nashville, TN 37243. Please arrive by 7:20am to take the bus. Title: Real Property – As introduced, authorizes a member of a homeowners’ association for a neighborhood in Williamson County with at least 300 single family residential homes and two or more gates restricting ingress and egress to the neighborhood to request a report from the board of directors for the homeowners’ association regarding criminal activity in the gated subdivision; requires the board to compile the report and make it available to each household in the subdivision. – Amends TCA Title 66, Chapter 27.
